IoT system to manage and monitor the use that citizens make of recycling bins, in order to achieve the recycling rates set to comply with current regulations or to comply with the defined quality levels.

This tool has been designed to manage and monitor the use of containers at any public authority (city council, consortium or association) with a view to achieving the recycling rates set by the Department of the Environment as targets and to comply with the regulations in force at a national or regional level or to meet the quality levels defined at a local/regional level.

Functionality:

• IoT system that identifies the user of the container using a Smartphone or proximity card.
• Option of coming equipped with a smart lock to electronically control opening or closing permissions.
• Option of customising container opening permits and time slots for each citizen.
• Different registration and access methods for citizens (app, mobile phone, ID card).
• Registration of citizen usage data, for application of discounts on the waste collection fee and other gamifications.
• It provides valuable information to the public authorities (citizens, usage data, bin location) facilitating service optimisation and the calculation of recycling rates.
• Data analysis and report generation to facilitate decision-making and information exploitation.
• Manufactured entirely in Spain, fully guaranteeing any supply, maintenance and technical service that may be needed, including system expansions.
