GEMS (Simultaneous Multimedia Broadcast Manager) is a digital signage system that allows multimedia content to be relayed to multiple display devices with their corresponding separate scheduling. This makes it possible to broadcast previously validated content, as well as the automatic switching on and off of devices with autonomous offline operation. It allows multiple validated users with to be registered with different roles. It is available for both stand-alone monitors and video wall monitors.

The main objective of GEMS is to offer the option of controlling the reproduction of multimedia content in large spaces with multiple monitors using several devices.

Using a combination of hardware and software, the manager is able to relay and receive data to and from devices connected to the local network, which can be quickly identified, as well as creating and modifying groups of devices.

Using intuitive browsing and a simple and friendly reproduction manager, users can quickly set up the devices, requiring minimal physical maintenance and receiving their status from a single centralised server. The main use reflected in this document is desktop type.

Content can be planned hours or days in advance using a calendar. This content can be previewed using the application before being released to the different displays. This content must have previously been uploaded to the Content Manager (CMS).

The first time the application is used, it will give the user the option to complete a quick guide that, in five steps, will help understand the most important sections and quickly set up the first startup of devices and the application itself.

From the users’ PCs, a variety of multimedia content will be sent to a group consisting of several monitors distributed along the visitors’ route via a CMS.

Users can use content manager type software, facilitating the real-time relaying of data to these displays either individually or in groups, as well as the option of scheduling the transmission of content using a time scale system
